Beef and Broccoli stir fry
a quick and easy anytime meal served along side some rice.

- 2 tablespoons dry white wine or dry sherry divided
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce divided
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pound boneless sirloin steak sliced across the grain into thin slices
- ½ cup low sodium beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha
- 2 tablespoons canola oil divided
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated or use bottled
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 4 cups broccoli
- ¼ cup water
- ⅓ cup scalions thinly sliced
In a large bowl combine 1 Tablespoon wine, 1 Tablespoon soy sauce, sugar and sliced beef.
In small bowl stir together 1 Tablespoon wine, 1 Tablespoon soy sauce, broth, cornstarch, hoisin and sriracha.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat add 1 Tablespoon oil, Add beef mixture to the skillet, stirring as needed sauté 3 minutes or until browned. Remove beef from the pan to a clean bowl or plate.
Add ginger and garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds stirring constantly. Add the broccoli and water; cook for 1 minute. Add onions cook for another minute, stirring constantly. Add the beef mixture; cook 2 minutes or until beef is thoroughly heated and sauce is slightly thick. Serve over rice.
