Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes
An easy way to pack a lot of flavor into a simple dish

- 2 steaks
- Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
- garlic powder to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2-3 medium potatoes peeled and cut into equal sized pieces. or use baby potatoes cut in half
- 4 tablespoons butter softened to mash with the garlic
- 2 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herb seasoning

- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley chopped
preheat oven to 400℉In a small bowl combine the butter, garlic and dried seasonings and set asideSeason steaks generously with salt, pepper and garlic powder on both sides. place skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with oil. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes per side or until they are nice and browned. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
Add the potatoes to the skillet, season similar as the steaks, salt, pepper and garlic powder, saute for 3-5 minutes until browned. Push the potatoes to one side, add the steaks back into the skillet.
Transfer skillet to the preheated oven and finish cooking for 10-15 minutes. This depends on the thickness of your steaks. The thicker they are the longer they will take.
Remove from oven and place a dollop of the garlic butter onto each steak and the rest onto the potatoes. Stir the potatoes to coat and then top with the fresh herbs before serving.
