is enjoying a cup of tea looking out over Megansett Habor in North Falmouth. We have had a lovely weekend with family at the Mastria Estate high above the harbor, I don’t believe they call it an Estate but I am. It is old, grand with a private beach and deserves the distinction. This is my fourth visit to their beautiful home and the view is still just plain amazing. We spent the afternoon on the beach then all waited our turns to use the outdoor shower and then had a wonderful clam boiled dinner followed up by watching the storm come in out on the porch. What a spectacular light show it was.
Our host spent a lot of time planning, prepping and making our happy hour appetizer’s to the show stopping clam boil all on the 50’s stove in the vintage kitchen. No small feat but it really was a family affair. Everyone offering to help and wanting to see what was going on. For at least one, it was their first time eating a clam in this format. I will admit, it had been quite some time since I had to open and clean a clam before eating it. I recall having massive clam bakes as a young child so it brought back a lot of memories.
Ignore the mac and cheese dish…her husband couldn’t fill his bowl up fast enough and several times…
The house are all up now and enjoying their cup of Joe out on the porch so I am going to share some pictures and call it a day/blog so I can go enjoy some more time with them.
Everything was wonderful can’t thank you enough SMC!!!
