Beef Brisket with BBQ Sauce – Slow Cooker

I went to the store looking for corned beef and none was to be had. I came across a flat cut brisket that I thought I would try. The only other briskets that I have made take a couple of days and hours in the oven, I came across this recipe that used my crockpot; why not?

I made this the other day but wanted coleslaw to go with it. I mean BBQ and coleslaw go hand in hand. The stores were pretty against me in they first didn’t have corned beef, then I pivot and then they don’t have the bag of coleslaw that I usually get. OK that’s actually not a big deal, I can slice my own cabbage etc. but I wanted the bag mix. So last night I finally got my ducks in a row to actually slice and eat what I made.

The slider was very tasty, the cayenne pepper in the rub makes for a very smoky taste, a little heat and I can see how you can fool yourself into thinking you didn’t use the slow cooker, a little.
